Office of the Tax Collector

The Township Tax Collector is elected every four years and must reside in the Township. Section 1001 of the Second Class Township Code provides for the powers and duties of the Tax Collector. The TOWNSHIP tax collector shall collect all county, township, school, institution district.

The 2022 county/municipal tax payments are due by 4/27/2022 to receive rebate amount. A valid post mark of 4/27/2022 is accepted as timely paid.

Tax payments by mail is preferred: mail payments to 25 Wall St. Pittston Twp, Pa 18640

In person payment, if needed: Office hours for County/Municipal Real Estate taxes are during rebate only at the Municipal Bldg. 421 Broad St. Pittston Twp:

February 28, 2022 to April 27, 2022

Monday 10 AM – 12 PM and 5 PM – 8:30 PM

Tuesday 10 AM – 12 PM

Thursday April 21, 2022 4 PM- 6 PM

Wednesday April 27, 2022 5 PM – 7 PM

A Drop Box is available outside the Tax office at the Municipal Bldg

TAX CERTIFICATIONS

Cost is $10.00 per parcel/per year made payable to Renee Menichini: 25 Wall St. Pittston Twp, Pa 18640

 

EARNED INCOME TAX

  • HA Berkheimer & Associates is designated in the tax-levying ordinance or resolution or be employed by the tax-levying authority to collect taxes levied under “The Local Tax Enabling Act.”

MERCANTILE TAX

  • e-Collect is responsible for collection of Mercantile Taxes
