MISSION STATEMENT

Pittston Township Emergency Management

PTEMA

Pittston Township Emergency Management (PTEMA) is an essential part of emergency services. Our mission is to be the umbrella in which ALL Emergency Services comes under. Not to take away the command structure in place now within the emergency services, but to simply strengthen it, respectfully to each individual branch.

PTEMA protects our community by organizing, preparing, coordinating, managing and integrating all activities necessary to build, sustain, and improve the capability to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from threatened or actual natural disasters, acts of terrorism, man-made disasters accruing resources and responsibilities for dealing with all humanitarian aspects of emergencies.

PTEMA is out and about in our community more than you probably realize.

We have appointed members that act as liaisons in each of the emergency services fields’ police, fire and ambulance. These members have a combined eighty- plus years’ experience in the emergency service fields. They are FEMA certified and well equipped to assist and handle any emergencies that may come our way.

Our vehicles, trailers and equipment are simply labeled Pittston Township Emergency Response so that at any time anyone in the field can utilize them for a multitude of general or operation specific incidents.

PTEMA takes pride in helping Pittston Township residents, our brothers and sisters in the Pittston Township Emergency Services, surrounding communities and all that may need our assistance in a time of need!
